The Tree of Life displays at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton offer a unique way to either memorialize, or honor someone dear to the donor. Each Tree is composed of 220 gold leaves. Donors create a personal message that is inscribed on one or more of these leaves. From one to four stars, indicating giving level, appear above the donor’s inscribed personal message, for example:

In Memory of Adam Smith, Jr.
given by Jane, Michael and Bill

The leaf giving levels are as follows:

- a gift of $100 to $199
- a gift of $200 to $250
- a gift of $251 to $300
- a gift of $301 and higher
