The Lakefront Tower was built to accommodate the growing healthcare needs of greater Mercer County. The four-story building, which opened in April 2007, includes 64 private patient rooms that have been designed to maximize exposure to sunlight, incorporate elements of nature and promote healing.
The mission of the Auxiliary of RWJ Hamilton is to continually strive to improve the quality of healthcare provided to the hospital's patients and the community through advocacy, fundraising and service. They do so while remaining aware of the changing needs of the customers and the healthcare system. The Auxiliary raises funds through several means including book fairs, jewelry sales, plant sales, flea markets and events. In addition, once a month they meet for lunch and sew handmade bears for the patients in the Emergency Department.
